Ecology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 7, July 2025.We assessed which habitat extinction threshold in a landscape is a good predictor of functional connectivity for 14 species of terrestrial herpetofauna in the eastern Brazilian Amazon. We concluded that forest species should maintain a threshold of approximately 30% of habitat to avoid a significant abrupt decline in overall connectivity.

Hide and Seek: Species Detectability in a Biodiversity Hotspot Increased by Environmental DNA
Environmental DNA, Volume 7, Issue 4, July–August 2025.We demonstrated through Bayesian modeling that eDNA metabarcoding offers equivalent or higher detectability than traditional field inventory techniques for anuran species in a biodiversity hotspot.
