Rational Molecular Design to Improve Digital Polymer Readout in Aerolysin‐Based Nanopore Sequencing

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Nanopore sensing holds significant yet underexplored potential for decoding synthetic digital polymers. In this study, we synthesized an extensive library of sequence‐defined poly(phosphodiester)s and evaluated their performance in aerolysin‐based sequencing. By systematically optimizing molecular parameters, we identified an ideal combination of coded

Exploring the distinct physico-mechanical characteristics of bio-polymer based chambray fabric [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society
Denim is known for its strength and longevity whereas chambray is softer, more comfortable and often used for trendy garments. This research work compares the physical and mechanical properties of bio-polymer based organic cotton (100 %) denim and ...

Assessing Strengths and Limitations of Magnetoencephalography Source Imaging With Intracerebral EEG

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Simultaneous MEG and stereotactic EEG (SEEG) recordings provide a direct validation framework for MEG source imaging in focal epilepsy. Virtual SEEG signals derived from MEG reconstructions reveal significant agreement with intracranial measures of spike localization, resting‐state oscillations, and functional connectivity, while also identifying ...

Discovery of a Reversible Sub‐Picomolar Thrombin Inhibitor Using DCC

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
An ultrapotent yet fully reversible trivalent thrombin inhibitor discovered through screening a large dynamic combinatorial library (DCL) of 125 000 members of self‐assembled fragments. The innovative approach leverages size‐exclusion‐based affinity selection, coupled with MALDI‐TOF mass spectrometry readout, enabling the full workflow to be completed ...

The Effects of Washing Treatments on Physical Properties of Denim Fabrics

open access: yesTekstil ve Mühendis, 2014
In this study, the effects of rinse, stone and bleaching washing treatments on some physical properties of denim fabrics, which were produced with different weft-warp types, were interpreted statistically. The results show that weft-warp type, washing treatment and interaction of these two factors have a significant influence on thickness, weight ...

Introducing Borsantrazole: A Trifunctional Boron‐Based Pyrazole That Extends the Lifespan of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Herein we report a boron‐based pyrazole, (Borsantrazole ‐ a small molecule that selectively targets oxidative stress) that significantly increases survival, reduces weight loss, delays disease onset, and affects global protein changes in the SOD1‐G37R mouse model of ALS.

Toward the Synthesis of Pestalustaine A: Structural Revision and Formation of Original Strained Tricyclic Architectures

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Our synthetic endeavor toward the total synthesis of the reported unprecedented tricyclic skeleton of the sesquiterpene pestalustaine A allowed us to perform divergent cyclizations of a bicyclo[4.4.1]undec‐3‐ene into complex tricyclic architectures and to revise the structure of the natural product.

A Generative Neuro‐Symbolic AI for Protein Sequence Design

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We introduce EffieDes, a neuro‐symbolic framework coupling deep learning‐based fitness landscape parameterization with exact automated reasoning. Unlike greedy sampling, EffieDes identifies sequences that globally optimize fitness while satisfying intricate design constraints.

A Study on usage of chenille yarn in denim fabric production

open access: yesTekstil ve Mühendis, 2013
Producers benefit from various applications to increase the usage of denim for the winter seasons. However, the current applications have negative effects on clothing comfort. In this study, availability of chenille yarn, which is a type of fancy yarn for denim industry, has been examined by improving aforementioned clothing comfort.

Donor–Acceptor Covalent Organic Framework Enables Ambipolar Charge Storage in Aluminum‐Ion Energy Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A donor–acceptor covalent organic framework is designed as an ambipolar cathode for aluminum‐ion energy storage. The crystalline, microporous architecture enables intrinsic charge transport without conductive additives. Multi‐electron redox activity at donor and acceptor sites supports high capacity, excellent stability, and efficient reversible ...
