Remote Control of Hand Actuators via Glove Sensors for Medical Care Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel textile‐based sensory glove–actuator system for remote medical care, explored through finite element simulations. By integrating capacitive sensors, pneumatic actuators, and machine learning, the system models real‐time hand movement control.

How to play the game as the bridge between two European power markets – the case of Western Denmark [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we set out to investigate the price and quantity fluctuations in Western Denmark, which took place during the winter season 2002-2003. This was a period, which exhibited critical supply conditions in the Nordic area due to a shortage of ...

An AI‐Enabled All‐In‐One Visual, Proximity, and Tactile Perception Multimodal Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Targeting integrated multimodal perception of robots, an AI‐enabled all‐in‐one multimodal sensor is proposed. This sensor is capable of perceiving three types of modalities, including vision, proximity, and tactility. By toggling an ultraviolet light and adjusting the camera focus, it switches smoothly between multiple perceptual modalities, enabling ...

Miniaturized Magnetic Tip Design for Endoluminal Vine Robot Navigation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A magnetic tip mount is designed for a miniaturized 7 mm soft‐growing vine robot to enable wireless magnetic steering and onboard imaging, while preserving a 3 mm working channel. The internal–external ring magnets design balances magnetic attachment with low eversion pressure. Experiments demonstrate ±90° steering, 34 mm bending radius, and successful

Modelling regional variation of first-time births in Denmark 1980-1994 by an age-period-cohort model [PDF]

open access: yes
Despite the small size of Denmark, there have traditionally been rather consistent regional differences in fertility rates. We apply the statistical age-period-cohort model to include the effect of these three time-related factors thereby concisely ...

A Biomarker‐Driven Ovary–Endometrium Organ‐on‐a‐Chip Mimicking 3D Multicellular Complexity and Menstrual Cyclicity for Predicting Reproductive Toxicity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present a dual‐organ, biomarker‐integrated ovaryendometrium organ‐on‐a‐chip that recapitulates 3D tissue complexity, menstrual cycle dynamics, and hormonal crosstalk. This platform enables real‐time, cell‐typespecific fluorescent readouts of reproductive toxicity using ANGPTL4 and SERPINB2 as early‐response reporters.
