Morphological and Genomic Diversity in the Genus Pteridium(Dennstaedtiaceae) [PDF]
Abstract Morphometric comparisons of frond material grown under standardized garden conditions and DNA fingerprinting by arbitrarily-primed PCR were used to assess taxonomic groupings and relationships in the cosmopolitan bracken ferns of the genus Pteridium(Dennstaedtiaceae).

All over the world, wild edible plants are predominantly the sources of famine food. Ethiopia, with food‐insecure populations, needs such food‐supplementing plant groups. The current review article is aimed at presenting a compiled list of the species, showing the diversity of the species, and elaborating on their major threats and values.

Morpho-anatomical Studies and Evolutionary Interpretations of the Rhizomes of Extant Dennstaedtiaceae [PDF]
Dennstaedtiaceae is a monophyletic, extant family of ferns with sub-cosmopolitan distribution and ca. 265 species. Rhizome morphology in the Dennstaedtiaceae is relatively well known, yet its anatomy has been poorly explored. We performed morpho-anatomical studies on 26 taxa from eight genera, mostly from Brazil, Japan, and New Zealand.

Abstract Premise Molecular studies based on chloroplast markers have questioned the monophyly of the fern genus Pecluma (Polypodioideae, Polypodiaceae), which has several species of Polypodium nested within it. We explored the delimitation of Pecluma and its biogeographic pattern by evaluating the phylogenetic position of four Polypodium species not ...

Soil fertility heterogeneity is one of the main factors affecting early recovery and plant succession toward a target plant community. This study examined the influence of topography on the diversity and composition of plant communities established in areas degraded by opencast mining in Chocó, Colombia.

Pest categorisation of Popillia quadriguttata
Abstract The EFSA Panel on Plant Health performed a pest categorisation of Popillia quadriguttata (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae), following a commodity risk assessment of bonsai Pinus parviflora grafted onto P. thunbergii from China, in which P. quadriguttata was identified as a pest of possible concern for the territory of the European Union.
