A Replicable and Generalizable Neuroimaging‐Based Indicator of Pain Sensitivity Across Individuals
Humans differ in their sensitivity to pain. With six large and diverse fMRI datasets (total N = 1046), this study finds that such individual differences in pain sensitivity can be tracked by fMRI responses to painful stimuli. A highly generalizable machine learning model is further built to predict pain sensitivity across all datasets and analgesic ...

The 2500‐year‐old Mulberry‐dyke and Fish‐pond agricultural heritage system reveals how interconnected habitats foster microbial diversity. Multi‐habitat landscapes enhance microbial diversity through cross‐habitat dispersal and adaptive trait convergence. Globally, regions with diverse habitats support a greater diversity of soil microbiomes.

STEMDiff: A Wavelet‐Enhanced Diffusion Model for Physics‐Informed STEM Image Generation
STEMDiff, which is a conditional diffusion model that generates realistic STEM images from crystal structure‐derived binary labels, is proposed, overcoming high‐frequency bias via a Discrete Wavelet Transform‐based architecture. It produces experimentally indistinguishable images, enabling annotation‐free training of networks for precise atomic ...

Boltzmann Machines and Denoising Autoencoders for Image Denoising
Image denoising based on a probabilistic model of local image patches has been employed by various researchers, and recently a deep (denoising) autoencoder has been proposed by Burger et al. [2012] and Xie et al. [2012] as a good model for this. In this paper, we propose that another popular family of models in the field of deep learning, called ...

Enhancing Spatial Transcriptomics via Spatially Constrained Matrix Decomposition with EDGES
Imaging‐based spatial transcriptomics technologies are currently limited by their restricted gene detection capacity and low measurement accuracy. Moreover, the insufficient integration of spatial context and single‐cell reference data poses a significant challenge for comprehensive data analysis.
