EVALUATION OF PIEZO-ASSISTED RIDGE SPLITTING USING OSSEODENSIFICATION DRILLS IN NARROW ANTERIOR MAXILLA WITH SIMULTANEOUS IMPLANT PLACEMENT (CLINICAL TRIAL) [PDF]
Background: One of the most effective methods for augmenting bone, particularly in the maxilla, is the alveolar ridge splitting technique.Aim of the study: This study aimed to assess maxillary anterior ridge splitting using piezotome and ...

ABSTRACT Purpose The objective of this study was to compare the detachment surfaces of Schneiderian membrane elevation of 4–8 mm by transcrestal technique using hollowed osteotomes on human cadavers with 4 mm residual bone height. Methods The study followed the CACTUS (ChAracteristics of Cadaver Training and sUrgical Studies) guidelines.

Optimizing Osseodensification Drilling for Dental Implant Placement: An In Vitro Study
ABSTRACT Objectives This study aims to optimize the parameters of osseodensification drilling (OD) to improve the primary stability of dental implants in low‐density bone. Material and Methods Polyurethane foam blocks (PFB) of 0.160 g/cm3 were used to simulate low‐density bone (Type IV bone).

ABSTRACT Objectives To compare the implant stability quotient values (ISQ) of implants placed using implant‐specific drills (CD) and osseodensification drills (OD) at three different time points and to determine the effect of both drilling techniques on marginal bone levels.

Osseodensification technique in crestal maxillary sinus elevation—A narrative review
Abstract Osseodensification is a novel approach that has significantly advanced the field of implant dentistry, particularly in the context of transcrestal maxillary sinus floor elevation. This technique involves the use of specially designed burs that compact and densify bone along the osteotomy walls, thereby enhancing implant primary stability and ...

A wear test was conducted to evaluate carbide dental burs. There is great variability within each bur type, which renders a particular bur highly unpredictable; this can be correlated to the variability in the carbide material. There is little hope that

Perigraftitis and implant therapy: A case report
Abstract Background A previous case study reported periimplantitis and concomitant perigraftitis of a second implant placed at a site that had alveolar ridge preservation three decades earlier. Infection at the site persisted 4 months after implant removal by flapless implant reversal.

Code Generation = A* + BURS [PDF]
A system called BURS that is based on term rewrite systems and a search algorithm A* are combined to produce a code generator that generates optimal code. The theory underlying BURS is re-developed, formalised and explained in this work.
