Environmentally benign multiphase catalysis with dense phase carbon dioxide

Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, 2002
Abstract Environmental concerns stemming from the use of conventional solvents and from hazardous waste generation have propelled research efforts aimed at developing benign chemical processing techniques that either eliminate or significantly mitigate pollution at the source. This paper provides an overview of heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysis

Heterogeneous Catalysis for Fine Chemicals in Dense Phase Carbon Dioxide

Advanced Synthesis & Catalysis, 2008
AbstractAn increasing number of fine chemicals is being produced using heterogeneously catalysed reactions in supercritical carbon dioxide with significant improvements in terms of process selectivity and purity of the products thereby obtained.

Corrosion Behavior of Transmission Pipeline Steels in Dense-Phase Carbon Dioxide

CONFERENCE 2022, 2022
Abstract Pipeline transportation systems are the most cost-effective method to transport liquid or supercritical CO2 from points of capture to sites where it will be permanently stored or used for industrial purposes. Many factors complicate designing an efficient CO2 transmission pipeline and selecting materials.

Review of dense phase carbon dioxide application to citrus juices

ASME 2008 Citrus Engineering Conference, 2008
The United States is the second largest citrus producer in the world. Florida and California are the two major producing states. While oranges from California are mainly used for fresh fruit consumption, more than 90% of oranges produced in Florida are processed to juice (FAO 2008).

Optimization of microbial inactivation of shrimp by dense phase carbon dioxide

International Journal of Food Microbiology, 2012
Microbial inactivation of Litopenaeus vannamei by dense phase carbon dioxide (DPCD) treatment was investigated and neural network was used to optimize the process parameters of microbial inactivation. The results showed that DPCD treatment had a remarkable bactericidal effect on microorganism of shrimp.
