Magnetically Tunable Micro-Ring Resonators for Massive Magneto-Optical Modulation in Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing Systems [PDF]
We demonstrate, numerically, a new concept for on-chip magneto-optical (MO) modulation in dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) applications. Our idea uses materials and mechanisms that are compatible with current silicon-on-insulator fabrication

Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (SOA)-Driven Reservoir Computing for Dense Wavelength-Division Multiplexing (DWDM) Signal Compensation [PDF]
Optical signal processing (OSP) technology is a crucial part of the optical switching node in the modern optical-fiber communication system, especially when advanced modulation formats, e.g., quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), are applied.

We report the system design and experimental verification of an intracavity absorption multiplexed sensor network with hollow core photonic crystal fiber (HCPCF) sensors and dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) filters. Compared with fiber Bragg grating (FBG), it is easier for the DWDM to accomplish a stable output.

Feasibility of quantum key distribution through dense wavelength division multiplexing network [PDF]
In this paper, we study the feasibility of conducting quantum key distribution (QKD) together with classical communication through the same optical fiber by employing dense-wavelength-division-multiplexing (DWDM) technology at telecom wavelength.

A new material platform of Si photonics for implementing architecture of dense wavelength division multiplexing on Si bulk wafer. [PDF]
A new materials group to implement dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) in Si photonics is proposed. A large thermo-optic (TO) coefficient of Si malfunctions multiplexer/demultiplexer (MUX/DEMUX) on a chip under thermal fluctuation, and thus ...

Supercontinuum Source for Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing in Square Photonic Crystal Fiber via Fluidic Infiltration Approach [PDF]
In this paper, a square-lattice photonic crystal fiber based on optofluidic infiltration technique is proposed for supercontinuum generation. Using this approach, without nano-scale variation in the geometry of the photonic crystal fiber, ultra-flattened
