OBJETIVO. Estudar a densidade mineral ossea (BMD) vertebral (L2-L4) e femoral (colo do femur) de mulheres brancas, normais. MATERIAL E METODO. Mediu-se o BMD de 724 mulheres (40-79 kg; 20-69 anos de idade) por dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry e analisaram-se os dados em funcao da idade e peso corporal (PC). RESULTADOS. As mulheres mais leves (40-49 kg)

ABSTRACT Lithological classification from borehole data remains challenging in geologically complex alkaline–carbonatite systems, where compositional overlap and gradual transitions between lithotypes limit conventional interpretation methods. This study presents an integrated and automated workflow for drill‐core lithological classification using self‐

Beyond species means – the intraspecific contribution to global wood density variation
Summary Wood density is central for estimating vegetation carbon storage and a plant functional trait of great ecological and evolutionary importance. However, the global extent of wood density variation is unclear, especially at the intraspecific level. We assembled the most comprehensive wood density collection to date, including 109 626 records from

ABSTRACT We trace the shift from a nascent to a mature policy subsystem by examining a hitherto overlooked aspect in policy process scholarship: the relationship between advocacy coalition beliefs and the narratives they express over time. The empirical focus of this case study is Sweden's Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) policies ...

Ungulate prey availability to inform Mexican wolf recovery within its historical range
We estimated the potential ecological carrying capacity for the Mexican wolf based exclusively on ungulate prey biomass estimated from camera trap surveys. In the United States, the potential density estimate is high (21.4–52.7 wolves/1,000 km2) owing to the presence and relatively high densities of elk, mule deer, and white‐tailed deer.

Validation of generalized anthropometric equations for body density estimate in military women
The validation of the equations for predicting body density allows verifying the accuracy of estimated body density on a population different from that used in the original equation.

It was evaluated the effects of metabolizable energy (ME) and digestible lysine (dLYS) densities on performance and body composition of weaned piglets. The study used 114 piglets weaned at 7.4 ± 0.80 kg, out of which 108 were allotted in the nursery and ...
