Efeito da solução de separação densimétrica na quantidade e qualidade da matéria orgânica leve e na quantificação do carbono orgânico da fração pesada The effect of density fractionation solutions on the amount and quality of light-fraction organic matter and the content of heavy-fraction organic carbon [PDF]

[PDF]
The soil organic matter, as the Amazonian Dark Earths, have functional compartments with different characteristics concerning composition and dynamics and these fractions can be evaluated using physical fractionation, in which the fractions are separated

A review of the tectonic, volcanological and hazard history of Vulcano (Aeolian Islands, Italy)
Abstract Vulcano is one of the seven volcanic islands composing the Aeolian Islands archipelago (Southern Italy), which also includes three other active volcanoes. The island was originally a stratovolcano like Stromboli; afterwards, its shape turned towards a complex structure composed of several volcanic landforms of different sizes.

ABSTRACT The transition between the slope and basin floor is typically marked by a slope break, in some cases causing channels to terminate and turbidity currents to undergo a loss of confinement. It is thus essential to understand how these slope breaks and losses of confinement influence the hydrodynamic evolution of turbidity currents and impact ...

The Yih Instability in Layered Lava Flow May Initiate the Pāhoehoe to ‘a‘ā Lava Transition
Abstract Most basaltic lavas begin flowing as pāhoehoe but sometimes transition into ‘a‘ā. Field observations and previous models have demonstrated that the rheology of smooth, liquid‐like pāhoehoe is distinct from rough, pasty ‘a‘ā, but the cause of this dramatic and rapidly occurring change in rheology has remained unclear.
