The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

A novel density deviation multi-peaks automatic clustering algorithm

open access: yesComplex & Intelligent Systems, 2022
The density peaks clustering (DPC) algorithm is a classical and widely used clustering method. However, the DPC algorithm requires manual selection of cluster centers, a single way of density calculation, and cannot effectively handle low-density points.

Gravitational clustering in N-body simulations

open access: yes, 2001
In this talk we discuss some of the main theoretical problems in the understanding of the statistical properties of gravity. By means of N-body simulations we approach the problem of understanding the r\^ole of gravity in the clustering of a finite set ...

PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...

Topology Identification Method for Low-Voltage Distribution Node Networks Based on Density Clustering Using Smart Meter Real-Time Measurement Data

open access: yesIEEE Access
Correctly identifying the topology of a low-voltage distribution network aids in its management by power companies. However, the low collection rate and poor quality of the customer data collected by smart meters create difficulties in the application of

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Inhibiting stearoyl‐CoA desaturase suppresses bone metastatic prostate cancer by modulating cellular stress, mTOR signaling, and DNA damage response

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Collusion node detection method based on fuzzy evaluation density clustering in Internet of vehicles

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2023
In order to solve the security problems caused by collusion of malicious vehicles in the open Internet of vehicles environment, a collusion node detection method based on fuzzy evaluation density clustering was designed. The method realized vehicle ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Research on Pavement Crack Detection Based on Random Structure Forest and Density Clustering

open access: yesAutomation
The automatic detection of road surface cracks is a crucial task in road maintenance, but the complexity of crack topology and the susceptibility of detection results to environmental interference make it challenging.
