Nuclear level densities away from line of β -stability [PDF]
Abstract The variation of total nuclear level densities (NLDs) and level density parameters with proton number ( Z ) are studied around the β -stable isotope, Z 0 , for a ...

Study of the nuclear structure for the 18O by using NuShellX@MSU code [PDF]
In this study, the energy levels, electromagnetic transition probability, and charge density distribution of the 18O nucleus were calculated using the NuShellX@MSU code within the sdpn-shell and using the effective USDEPN and WCPN interactions.

Chromosome length and gene density contribute to micronuclear membrane stability
Chromosome identity regulates the timing of nuclear membrane rupture in micronuclei, in part through an unexpected link between high gene density and improved nuclear lamina organization.

Parity Dependence of Nuclear Level Densities [PDF]
A simple formula for the ratio of the number of odd- and even-parity states as a function of temperature is derived. This formula is used to calculate the ratio of level densities of opposite parities as a function of excitation energy. We test the formula with quantum Monte Carlo shell model calculations in the $(pf+g_{9/2})$-shell.

Determination of nuclear level densities from experimental information [PDF]
A novel Information Theory based method for determining the density of states from prior information is presented. The energy dependence of the density of states is determined from the observed number of states per energy interval and model calculations suggest that the method is sufficiently reliable to calculate the thermal properties of nuclei over ...

Nuclear Density Dependence of In-Medium Polarization [PDF]
It is shown that polarization transfer measurements $(\vec{e},e'\vec{p})$ on a specific target nucleus can provide constraints on the ratio of the in-medium electric to magnetic form factor.

The Threshold of Detection of Fission Materials by ZnWO4 and Bi4Ge3O12 Scintillation Detectors
In the present work we found the maximum discovery distance for 239Pu-Be source using the detectors based on ZWO (ZnWO4) and BGO (Bi4Ge3O12) oxide scintillators. Detection distance was defined by using the radiation monitoring system ”PORTAL”.
