Approximating densities of states with gaps [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2010
Reconstructing a density of states or similar distribution from moments or continued fractions is an important problem in calculating the electronic and vibrational structure of defective or non-crystalline solids. For single bands a quadratic boundary condition introduced previously [Phys. Rev.

Investigation of Structural, Electronic and Optical Properties of Na2InAgCl6, K2InAgCl6, and Rb2InAgCl6 Lead-Free Halide Double Perovskites Regarding with Cs2InAgCl6 Perovskites Cell and a Comparative Study by DFT Functionals

open access: yesMaterials Research, 2021
Electronics band structures, the total density of state, the partial density of state and optical properties were investigated by DFT method for A2InAgCl6 (A= Cs, Na, K, and Rb).

Evaluation of photocathode emission properties in an electron gun: one-step photoemission from bulk band to vacuum states

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2019
A one-step photoemission analysis is developed, using the exact one-dimensional quantum solution for transmission over and through a triangular barrier presented by Forbes and Deane (2011 Proc. R. Soc.

Density of states for random contractions [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Spectral Theory, 2017
We define a linear functional, the DOS functional, on spaces of holomorphic functions on the unit disk which is associated with random ergodic contraction operators on a Hilbert space, in analogy with the density of states functional for random self-adjoint operators.

Structural and electronic properties of perovskite hydrides ACaH3 (A=Cs and Rb)

open access: yesBibechana, 2015
We have performed structural properties, electronic properties, charge density and potential distribution of CsCaH3 and RbCaH3 using TB-LMTO-ASA approach under local density approximation.

Laser-dressed partial density of states

open access: yesCommunications Physics
The manipulation of material properties by laser light holds great promise for the development of future technologies. However, the full picture of the electronic response to laser driving remains to be uncovered. We present an approach to reveal details

Ground State at High Density [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 2011
Weak limits as the density tends to infinity of classical ground states of integrable pair potentials are shown to minimize the mean-field energy functional. By studying the latter we derive global properties of high-density ground state configurations in bounded domains and in infinite space.

The Influence of One-Electron Self-Interaction on d-Electrons

open access: yesComputation, 2016
We investigate four diatomic molecules containing transition metals using two variants of hybrid functionals. We compare global hybrid functionals that only partially counteract self-interaction to local hybrid functionals that are designed to be ...

Density of States in a Superconductor Carrying a Supercurrent [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2003
We have measured the tunneling density of states (DOS) in a superconductor carrying a supercurrent or exposed to an external magnetic field. The pair correlations are weakened by the supercurrent, leading to a modification of the DOS and to a reduction of the gap.
