Ordered assembly of Cas12a for better performance of CRISPR/Cas system with application to the diagnosis of dental caries

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Here, we present a tetrahedral DNA framework (TDF)‐mediated Cas12a ordered assembly strategy. TDFs arrange CRISPR/Cas12a into ordered structures controllably, enhancing catalytic efficiency through localized Cas12a hotspots while maintaining spatial intervals to facilitate substrate diffusion.

Matrix metalloproteinases gene variants and dental caries in Czech children

open access: yesBMC Oral Health, 2020
Background Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) play an important role in tooth formation and the mineralization of dental tissue. The aim of the study was to analyse Czech children with primary/permanent dentition polymorphisms in those genes encoding MMP2,

Effect of fluoridated water in schools upon dental caries susceptibility [PDF]

open access: yesNursing Research, 1964
APPROXIMATELY one-third of the population of this country lives in areas lacking centra.l public water supply systems. Because fluoridation of public water supplies cannot provide protection against dental caries for t.his portion of people, other approaclhes have been attempted and are still being developed.

Comparative efficacy of novel bioactive glass versus sodium fluoride toothpaste for dentin hypersensitivity: A randomized clinical trial

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, Volume 97, Issue 5, Page 929-944, May 2026.
Abstract Background This first‐in‐human clinical study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of a bioglass incorporated in a toothpaste, in reducing dentin hypersensitivity (DH) compared to a sodium fluoride (NaF) toothpaste over a 2‐week period. Methods A double‐blind, randomized, parallel‐arm, proof‐of‐concept clinical trial was conducted with 46

Teeth With Mild and Moderate Enamel Fluorosis Demonstrate Increased Caries Susceptibility In Vitro

open access: yes, 2017
Subjects In this laboratory study, 49 human unerupted third molars extracted for clinical reasons and classified as scores 0-4 using the Thylstrup and Fejerskov (TF) index (n = 9 for TF0, n = 10 for TF1, n = 10 for TF2, n = 10 for TF3, and n = 10 for ...
