Evaluation of Caries Dentin Using Light-Induced Fluorescence: A Case Report [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2014
Minimal invasive therapy has been becoming more important day by day in dentistry. In minimally invasive dentistry, only the infected dentin is removed and the affected dentin is left behind while preparing to repair a cavity.

Towards Earlier Detection of Oral Diseases On Smartphones Using Oral and Dental RGB Images [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Oral diseases such as periodontal (gum) diseases and dental caries (cavities) affect billions of people across the world today. However, previous state-of-the-art models have relied on X-ray images to detect oral diseases, making them inaccessible to remote monitoring, developing countries, and telemedicine.

Engineering Cellular Self‐Adhesions Inside 3D Printed Micro‐Arches to Enhance Cell:Biomaterial Attachment

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Surprisingly, a cell can bind to itself to make a self‐adhesion, which engineered here to improve how cells attach to biomaterials. Nanoprinting are used to make 3D structures smaller than cells–called Self‐Adhesion‐Tunnels (SATs)–around which cells can wrap and bind to themselves.

Quantum State Protection in Cavities [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. A vol. 57, 4930 (1998), 1998
We show how an initially prepared quantum state of a radiation mode in a cavity can be preserved for a long time using a feedback scheme based on the injection of appropriately prepared atoms. We present a feedback scheme both for optical cavities, which can be continuously monitored by a photodetector, and for microwave cavities, which can be ...

Dual‐Wavelength Vat Photopolymerization With Dissolvable, Recyclable Support Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Selective solubility vat photopolymerization (SSVP) uses a single resin to produce dissolvable thermoplastics and insoluble thermosets in a single 3D print. Wavelength‐selective curing and thermal post‐processing provide 3D spatial control over dissolution kinetics, enabling dissolvable support structures and programmable dissolution profiles.
