Teleportation of Cavity Field States via Cavity QED [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2004
In this article we discuss two schemes of teleportation of cavity field states. In the first scheme we consider cavities prepared in a coherent state and in the second scheme we consider cavities prepared in a superposition of zero and one Fock states.

Self-Supervised Learning with Masked Image Modeling for Teeth Numbering, Detection of Dental Restorations, and Instance Segmentation in Dental Panoramic Radiographs [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
The computer-assisted radiologic informative report is currently emerging in dental practice to facilitate dental care and reduce time consumption in manual panoramic radiographic interpretation. However, the amount of dental radiographs for training is very limited, particularly from the point of view of deep learning.

Engineered Tissue Models to Decode Host–Microbiota Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Host–Microbiota interactions in the human body. Created in BioRender. Ghezzi, C. (2025) https://BioRender.com/ihivskg. Abstract A mutualistic co‐evolution exists between the host and its associated microbiota in the human body. Bacteria establish ecological niches in various tissues of the body, locally influencing their physiology and functions, but ...

Suspended Tissue Open Microfluidic Patterning (STOMP)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Suspended Tissue Open Microfluidic Patterning (STOMP) is a method that enables precise spatial patterning within a single suspended tissue. By leveraging capillary pinning and open microfluidics, STOMP facilitates the creation of complex tissue interfaces such as diseased‐healthy boundaries and tissue‐tissue junctions. This method integrates mechanical

Polyaspartic Acid‐Calcium‐Lanthanum Complexes Induce Antibacterial Remineralization of Dentin and In‐Depth Occlusion of Dentinal Tubules

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Polyaspartic acid‐calcium‐lanthanum (PAsp‐Ca‐La) complexes could induce antibacterial remineralization of demineralized dentin and in‐depth occlusion of dentinal tubules (DTs) with lanthanum‐doped hydroxyapatite (La‐HAp) via polyelectrolyte‐cation complexes pre‐precursor (PCCP) process, allowing the release of La3+ in response to acids generated by ...

Influence of enamel acid-etching on mechanical properties and nanoleakage of resin composite after aging

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Oral Sciences, 2017
The aim of this study was to evaluate how acid-etching of the cavosurface enamel in Class I resin composite restorations influences the bond strength to the pulpal wall and the restoration, Knoop microhardness and nanoleakage after thermomechanical aging.

Detection of Tooth caries in Bitewing Radiographs using Deep Learning [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
We develop a Computer Aided Diagnosis (CAD) system, which enhances the performance of dentists in detecting wide range of dental caries. The CAD System achieves this by acting as a second opinion for the dentists with way higher sensitivity on the task of detecting cavities than the dentists themselves.

Metagenomic analysis of dental calculus in ancient Egyptian baboons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Dental calculus, or mineralized plaque, represents a record of ancient biomolecules and food residues. Recently, ancient metagenomics made it possible to unlock the wealth of microbial and dietary information of dental calculus to reconstruct oral ...

A MXene‐Based Nanothermal Knife Inhibits Aggresome‐Mediated Persister Formation for Preventing Dental Caries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Early childhood caries (ECC) involves cariogenic persisters that evade antimicrobial treatment. Persisters achieve this by downregulating heat shock proteins (HSPs) and formation of protein aggregates. Ti3C2 MXene‐based photothermal therapy (PTT) acts as a “nanothermal knife,” disrupting membranes, upregulating HSPs, inhibits aggregates, prevents ...
