The International Journal of Prosthodontics, 2014The purpose of this study was to compare patients' and dentists' perception of dental appearance.Based on internationally accepted guidelines about dental esthetics, a questionnaire was developed to measure "dental appearance" (QDA). Eleven items defined a QDA score (0 = "absolutely dissatisfied" to 100 = "absolutely satisfied").

A method for the classification of errors in dental esthetics
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1974Abstract This classification covers errors in tooth arrangement only. A similar classification for errors in base materials can be constructed. It is hoped that, by establishing a classification system for esthetic errors, more meaningful discussions can occur that will produce increased understanding and mutual benefit to both dentist and patient.
