Summary An assessment has been made of the attitudes towards dental health and of the dental needs of 797 individuals, aged 25–64 years, who were employed in two factories in Leeds. Of those individuals who possessed teeth and who were actually or potentially in need of dental treatment, only approximately 50 per cent.
