Promising Prodiginins Biological Activities
Chemistry &Biodiversity, EarlyView.ABSTRACT Prodiginins are a large family of at least 34 pyrrolic compounds, including the well‐studied red pigment prodigiosin. Prodiginins are produced by several microorganisms displaying broad biological activities, including antimicrobial, antiviral, antiparasitic, antiproliferative, and immunosuppressive activities.

Using the HClO4–H2O2 System for Efficient Platinum Leaching: Optimal Conditions and Kinetics
ChemPlusChem, EarlyView.GA: The platinum leaching using HClO4 and H2O2 is studied. For each HClO4 concentration, an H2O2/HClO4 = 2.5 ratio optimizes the kinetics. The best operating conditions are ≈70 °C, [HClO4] 3 m, and [H2O2] 7.2 m. The leaching process is governed by diffusion in the boundary layer and chemical reaction. Developmental Dynamics, EarlyView.Abstract Background CD163 is a scavenger receptor predominantly expressed on the surfaces of macrophages in various mammalian species and is a marker of anti‐inflammatory (M2‐like) macrophages. High density of CD163‐positive tumor‐associated macrophages (TAMs) is associated with worse prognosis in various patient tumors.
