Comparison and evaluation of leakage flux on various types of dental magnetic attachment
A dental magnetic attachment is a device to retain dental prostheses such as overdentures by magnetic attraction. As compared with mechanical attachments, the dental magnetic attachment has superior characteristics such as easy insertion, good esthetics and less lateral pressure to its abutment tooth. As a result, it has come to be used widely.

The marginal leakage of some dental cements in humans: a PIXE-microbeam approach
The marginal leakage and water absorption of dental cements and restorative materials has been investigated by many authors with several techniques, some of which led to valid results. However, no technique could give, by itself, information both on leakage and water absorption, as these measurements usually need different investigations.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether manipulation or position change of the head during dental procedures for handicapped patients (mentally retarded) using a reinforced laryngeal mask airway for ventilation would lead to air leak. All patients had a reinforced laryngeal mask airway inserted after induction of anesthesia; anesthesia was ...

The use of silver amalgam as a tooth filler is under constant critical review because of its mercury content. After a review of the literature on this subject, in vitro spectrophotometry was used to assay the release of mercury by these amalgams in basal conditions. The experiment was conducted in two phases using standard doses of amalgam.

To determine the cement bond strength and marginal leakage of castings cemented to implant abutments.Fifty-six titanium abutments and castings were divided into 7 groups (n=8), 1 for each cement. Castings were cemented to abutments using 1 of 3 resin-based cements (RES, RES-B, and RES-B-P), a resin-modified glass ionomer (GI), a polycarboxylate cement (

Experimental Marginal Leakage Around Dental Amalgams Placed in Artificial Cavities
Journal of Dental Research, 1984Experimental marginal leakage of high- and low-Cu amalgam restorations placed in acrylic teeth, where the cavities were untreated or painted with denatured collagen and/or a CaP slurry, was assessed after specimens were stored in a 1% NaCl solution for ten days and for one yr. All specimens stored for ten days showed severe marginal leakage. High- and
