An extension of a phenomenological model for dental composites
Dental Materials, 1999The aims of this study are firstly to demonstrate the limitations of a phenomenological model proposed for filler/resin dental composites, and secondly, to modify the model to accommodate these limitations.A power-law rule of mixtures (ROM) is established by a simple modification of the elastic contact mechanics.

A laboratory model for dental radiographic studies
Journal of Oral Rehabilitation, 1995summary Though a number of laboratory models have been developed to study the effects of X‐ray geometry on the appearance and relative positions of anatomical landmarks, such as the amelocemental junction and alveolar crest, many have failed to take into account the three‐dimensional nature of the alveolus and its spatial relationships with the ...

Animal Models in Dental Research
2019Animal models are essential in order to understand the basic biology underlying dentomaxillofacial anomalies and diseases, as well as to evaluate the various medications and treatment approaches. Hence, implementation of new treatment modalities for medical aims would require animal experimentation prior to clinical phase.

Socioeconomic demand model for dental visits
Community Dentistry and Oral Epidemiology, 1984Abstract The purpose of the present study was to develop structural Socioeconomic demand models for dental visits. The explanatory variables were chosen selectively from the various theories concerning health services utilization. The models were constructed on data from a sociodental survey carried out among workers and staff members at a Danish ...

A model for the corrosion behavior of dental amalgams
Journal of Biomedical Materials Research, 1989AbstractAt high frequencies, electrochemical impedance behavior for corroding dental amalgams cannot be interpreted in terms of a simple Randles equivalent circuit. This may often be ascribed to the imperfect cell geometry resulting in a nonuniform current distribution.

Global biomechanical model for dental implants
Journal of Biomechanics, 2011The osseointegration of titanium dental implants is a complex process and there is a need for systematization of the factors influencing anchoring of implant. A common way of analyzing the strength of the fixation in bone is by measuring the torque required to remove the implants after healing.

2009
This paper is to introduce dental model analysis software with facilitating functions to allow direct dental measurement along with simulation after dental alignment and extraction. Model analysis is one of the orthodontic analyses to assess dental alignment and dental space whether the teeth are at the appropriated positions and space for orthodontic ...

Phenomenological model of creep of dental amalgam
Journal of Oral Rehabilitation, 1983SummaryEarlier work revealed that creep of a particular dental amalgam can be described by the model F(t)=F0 exp (t/t0)m. Here F(t) is the creep compliance at time t, whereas F0, t0 and m are constants of the model. In the previous study only three alloys were used. It was the aim of this study to investigate the factor alloy more thoroughly.

A model of temperature transients in dental implants
Biomaterials, 2001Dental implants provide a continuous interface between the oral environment and the deep core structures of the jaws. Implants and trans-mucosal superstructures are primarily metal and heat conduction occurs readily. A hypothetical heat conduction model is investigated to determine the ranges of temperature gradients that might occur in implants.

Visualization and Modelling in Dental Implantology
2009Intraoperative transfer of the implant and prosthesis planning in dentistry is facilitated by drilling templates or active, image-guided navigation. Minimum invasion concept of surgical interaction means high clinical precision with immediate load of prosthesis.
