Spectral Studies of New Luminophors for Dental Porcelain
Journal of Dental Research, 1980Luminescence spectra of several non-radioactive luminophors that may be suitable for dental porcelain have been obtained. It was found that porcelain composition and maturation temperature have large effects on excitation and emission spectra. Most of the luminophors had excitation maxima lower in wavelength than have been observed for natural teeth.

Enhanced Chemical Strengthening of Feldspathic Dental Porcelain
Journal of Dental Research, 1993Previous studies on ion exchange of dental ceramics have shown that the biaxial flexural strength can be improved by exchanging potassium for sodium ions at temperatures below the strain point. The rubidium ion is bigger than the potassium ion and can also be considered as a candidate for replacing smaller ions, i.e., sodium or potassium, although it
