Powered Prosthesis Locomotion on Varying Terrains: Model-Dependent Control with Real-Time Force Sensing [PDF]

open access: yesRA-L 7(2):5151-5158, 2022, 2021
Lower-limb prosthesis wearers are more prone to falling than non-amputees. Powered prostheses can reduce this instability of passive prostheses. While shown to be more stable in practice, powered prostheses generally use model-independent control methods that lack formal guarantees of stability and rely on heuristic tuning.

Effect of a Hygiene Protocol on Denture-Related Stomatitis Remission, Local Inflammatory Factors, and Hemodynamic Responses by Arterial Pressure

open access: yesAntibiotics, 2022
Denture-related stomatitis (DRS) is frequent oral inflammation in complete denture wearers. This study evaluated the effect of a hygiene protocol on DRS remission, local inflammatory factors, and hemodynamic responses.

TCSloT: Text Guided 3D Context and Slope Aware Triple Network for Dental Implant Position Prediction [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
In implant prosthesis treatment, the surgical guide of implant is used to ensure accurate implantation. However, such design heavily relies on the manual location of the implant position. When deep neural network has been proposed to assist the dentist in locating the implant position, most of them take a single slice as input, which do not fully ...

Two-Stream Regression Network for Dental Implant Position Prediction [PDF]

open access: yesExpert Systems With Applications 2023, 2023
In implant prosthesis treatment, the design of the surgical guide heavily relies on the manual location of the implant position, which is subjective and prone to doctor's experiences. When deep learning based methods has started to be applied to address this problem, the space between teeth are various and some of them might present similar texture ...

Construction of unbiased dental template and parametric dental model for precision digital dentistry [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Dental template and parametric dental models are important tools for various applications in digital dentistry. However, constructing an unbiased dental template and accurate parametric dental models remains a challenging task due to the complex anatomical and morphological dental structures and also low volume ratio of the teeth.

DENTAL PROSTHESIS;

open access: yesThe Professional Medical Journal, 2018
Introduction: Fixed dental prostheses (FDPs) are still preferred owing to theirdurability, esthetics, cost-effectiveness, adequate retention and lack of a surgical procedure.These restorations generally demonstrate longer life and durability in clinical service. Despitethe high survival rates, FDP complications are frequently encountered.
