Integrated and Lightweight Design of Electro-hydraulic Ankle Prosthesis [PDF]
For lower limb amputees, an active ankle joint prosthesis can provide basic mobility functions. This study focuses on an ankle joint prosthesis system based on the principle of electric-hydraulic actuation. By analyzing the characteristics of human gait cycles and the mechanics of ankle joint movement, a lightweight and integrated ankle joint ...

Dental implant-retained auricular prosthesis
Absence or loss of facial structures causes functional deficits and enormous psychological distress, so rehabilitation is necessary. However, facial prostheses have some difficulties due to mobile underlying tissues and retention. We used dental implant instead of conventional maxillofacial implant and safe on four prosthetic systems which is used in ...

The Use of Microwave Energy in Dental Prosthesis [PDF]
Acrylic resins are used as denture base materials since 1937 (Craig, 1993) and heat-cured Poly(methyl-methacrylate) (PMMA) (Lay et al., 2004) composed by methyl methacrylate monomers chains is the most popular of them. Virtually, dentures are constructed from conventional polymer/monomer (Lay et al., 2004) processed by heat water-bath system and ...
