Exploring Relationships Within the Microbiome of Root Canal Infections and the Influence of Associated Clinical Parameters

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, Volume 58, Issue 11, Page 1751-1763, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Aim To identify relationships among bacterial species in endodontic infections, to determine their core microbiome, and associated clinical characteristics. Methodology 206 patients with endodontic infections and apical periodontitis were assessed for clinical parameters (periapical lesion, symptomatology, sinus tract). Samples from the apical

Determining the Effect of Video Information on the Dental Anxiety Levels of the Endodontic Patients: A Randomised Clinical Trial

open access: yesJournal of Oral Rehabilitation, Volume 52, Issue 11, Page 1933-1944, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Objective The present study assessed the effectiveness of pretreatment education in the form of Visual Video Information (VVI) on the anxiety levels of patients during endodontic treatment steps. Methods Patients (n = 120) having single‐rooted teeth with a single root canal diagnosed with asymptomatic irreversible pulpitis and/or pre ...

Loss of NR2F6 Protects from Salmonella Typhimurium Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 37, October 6, 2025.
Loss of nuclear receptor NR2F6 reduces tissue‐resident macrophage populations. Nr2f6‐deficient mice are protected from weight loss and bacterial load during infection with Salmonella Typhimurium. Pro‐inflammatory cytokines and iron levels are altered in infected Nr2f6‐deficient mice.

Irisin‐Loaded Cerium‐Containing Mesoporous Bioactive Glass for Effective Immunomodulation and Odontogenesis of Dental Pulp Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 38, October 13, 2025.
The Irisin/Ce‐MBGNs delivery system can slowly release myokine Irisin for vital pulp therapy. Irisin/Ce‐MBGNs can enhance mitochondrial function and promote the differentiation of inflammatory macrophages toward M2‐Mφ, thereby regulating the immune response mechanism of inflamed dental pulp.

Regulating Enzyme Activity via Microaggregates Mediated by Phase Separation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 38, October 13, 2025.
An enzyme‐sequestration strategy for combating postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF) is developed, employing a D‐peptide called DPMD to induce liquid–solid phase separation (LSPS) of pancreatic proteases. This LSPS‐driven microaggregate approach effectively isolates trypsin and chymotrypsin from their substrates, thereby reducing pancreatic fluid ...
