The Stability of Temporary Restorations Fabricated on a Healing Cap for Immediate Loading: An In Vitro Study

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
The aim of this study was to analyze the load distribution of interim restorations using healing cap during immediate loading implant treatment in vitro. A total of 29 models with interim restorations which were fabricated with healing cap were selected.

Elevator‐Like Hollow Channels in Porous Scaffolds Accelerate Vascularized Bone Regeneration via NETs‐Fibrin‐Mediated Macrophage Recruitment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that how hollow‐channel scaffolds promote vascularized bone regeneration via an immunomodulatory mechanism. The channel structures facilitate the formation of a neutrophil extracellular traps‐fibrin scaffold that recruits vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF‐A)‐secreting M2 macrophages to drive angiogenesis. Combining this

Genome‐Wide Codon Reprogramming Enables a Multifactorially Attenuated Influenza Vaccine with Broad Cross‐Protection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Genome‐wide codon reprogramming of influenza A virus introduces 1956 synonymous mutations across five segments and elevates CpG content, causing defective NA packaging, loss of NS1 accumulation, and enhanced ZAP‐mediated antiviral responses without affecting RNA or protein synthesis. These mechanisms result in profound attenuation and potent homologous

Depletion of the RNA‐Editing Enzyme ADAR1 Invigorates the Antitumor Immunity of NK Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ADAR1 is upregulated in NK cells from melanoma patients, impairing their function. Its loss enhances NK cell tumor infiltration and cytotoxicity in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, ADAR1 deficiency destabilizes CD38 mRNA to reduce its expression, thereby increasing NK cell mobility and killing, which nominates it as a therapeutic target for NK cell ...

Marginal leakage of temporary restoration after intraradicular post preparation with or without waterproofing

open access: yesBrazilian Dental Science, 2017
Objective: This study evaluated the leakage volume of 1% Rhodamine B which received or not an internal waterproofing material. The hypothesis is that the waterproofing reduces microleakage.

Discovery of an Adaptive Neuroimmune Response Driving Itch and Fast Tick Removal with Implications for Preventing Pathogen Transmission

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Doehl et al. discovered an adaptive neuroimmune mechanism that induces itch in tick‐exposed guinea pigs, enabling rapid tick removal. This itch‐induced tick removal (IITR) is mediated by an adaptive cellular immune response and is independent of IgG, IgE, or TRPV1.
