Cell Fate Determination and Lineage Tracing: Technological Evolution and Multidimensional Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This figure is a candidate for the cover image. It shows a whole‐mount fluorescent image of lymphatic vessels (red) in the heart of an adult Cdh5‐Dre; Prox1‐RSR‐CreER; Rosa26‐tdT mouse. Image courtesy of Ximeng Han. Abstract Cell fate determination is a fundamental process in multicellular development.

Seal capability of interim post and core crown with temporary cements

open access: yesBrazilian Oral Research, 2010
The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the in vitro seal capability of interim post and core crown restorations. Eighty teeth were selected and divided into 8 groups. Four experimental groups received interim posts and core crowns. Half of each

Succinic Acid‐Induced Macrophage Endocytosis Promotes Extracellular Vesicle‐Based Integrin Beta1 Transfer Accelerating Fibroblast Activation and Sepsis‐Associated Pulmonary Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulates the production of succinic acid in lung tissue, which promotes macrophages endocytosis and the formation of multivesicular bodies (MVBs). These MVBs release profibrotic extracellular vesicles (EVs), facilitating the transfer of integrin beta1 (ITGβ1) transfer and subsequently activating fibroblasts, thereby ...

Bioactive-glass in Endodontic Therapy and Associated Microsurgery [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Bioactive-glass (B-G) has become a valuable adjunct to promote hard-tissue healing in many clinical situations and is of particular interest for endodontic care because of its biocompatibility, regenerative and antimicrobial properties as well as ...

Homocysteine Exacerbates Pulmonary Fibrosis via Orchestrating Syntaxin 17 Homocysteinylation of Alveolar Type II Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study identifies elevated homocysteine (Hcy) levels in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis patients' samples, with alveolar type 2 cells as the primary site of Hcy metabolism. Methionine synthase reductase downregulation in these cells exacerbates fibrosis, while folate administration reduces Hcy levels and alleviates fibrosis.

Resistance to Fracture of Two All-Ceramic Crown Materials Following Endodontic Access [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Statement of problem There is currently no protocol for managing endodontic access openings for all-ceramic crowns. A direct restorative material is generally used to repair the access opening, rendering a repaired crown as the definitive restoration ...

Estrogen Alleviates Sevoflurane‐Induced Neurotoxicity by Inhibiting ERα‐Tau Binding

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sevoflurane‐induced neurotoxicity exhibits sex differences, and estrogen can mitigate these effects; however, its protective action appears to be time‐window dependent, which may be related to the competitive binding of estrogen and Tau to ERα. Abstract Sevoflurane‐induced neurotoxicity is age‐dependent, but the role of sex differences is unclear ...

Metabolic Interplay in Acute Lung Injury: PARK7 Integrates FADS1/2‐Dependent PUFA Metabolism and H3K14 Lactylation to Attenuate Endothelial Ferroptosis and Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SCAP/ARDS patients show reduced unsaturated fatty acids (UFAs) but higher PARK7 and lactate in plasma. PARK7 correlates positively with lactate and negatively with UFAs. Pulmonary endothelial cell multi‐omics show FADS1/2 downregulation and impaired PUFA metabolism. Lactate boosts PARK7 via H3K14 lactylation, and PARK7 then restores FADS1/2.

Essential lipid autacoids rewire mitochondrial energy efficiency in metabolic dysfunction‐associated fatty liver disease

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Increased liver content of DHA‐derived small lipid autacoids (i.e resolvin D1 and maresin 1) associates with enhanced mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, fatty acid β‐oxidation and bioenergetic metabolic flux. These features provide hepatic protection from steatotic, pro‐inflammatory and fibrogenic insults.

Synaptic Dysfunction in the Anterior Cingulate Cortex Underlies Pain‐Anxiety Comorbidity in a Mandibular Asymmetry Mouse Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes a mandibular asymmetry (MA) mouse model that recapitulates chronic orofacial pain and anxiety comorbidity. Anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) hyperactivation and synaptic dysfunction are identified as central neural mechanisms underlying these pathologies, with chemogenetic inhibition of ACC CaMKII+ neurons effectively reversing ...
