Treatment of peri‐implantitis with diode laser or mucosal flap surgery: A clinical randomized controlled trial

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Peri‐implantitis poses a major challenge as contemporary nonsurgical treatments show dissatisfactory results and mucosal flap surgery is often needed. Diode lasers can remove granulation tissue and submucosal bacteria, and if it achieves similar clinical results, then it could be used as a less invasive first approach.

Metformin reverses periodontal destruction caused by experimental periodontitis by inhibiting interleukin‐1β activity

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.

Machine learning‐assisted prediction of clinical responses to periodontal treatment

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Periodontitis is among the most prevalent chronic inflammatory conditions globally, and is associated with bone resorption, tooth loss, and systemic complications. While its treatment is largely standardized, individual outcomes vary, with some patients experiencing further disease progression despite adherence. Methods We developed

Nasal Mucosa Regeneration After Reboot Surgery: Electron Microscopy and Histology Insights in CRSwNP

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
CRSwNP often requires multiple treatments, with monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and endoscopic sinus surgeries used to manage resistant cases. This study focused on five patients undergoing reboot surgery, analyzing mucosal regeneration through biopsies and clinical outcomes over 24 months. It revealed complete non‐scarred regeneration of the nasal mucosa,
