The Reliability and Validity of the Japanese Version of the Modified Dental Anxiety Scale among Dental Outpatients

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2020
Introduction. A careful assessment of dental anxiety is necessary for its management. The Modified Dental Anxiety Scale (MDAS) is one of the most commonly used questionnaires to measure dental anxiety in the world. The reliability and validity of the Japanese version of MDAS have been demonstrated using undergraduates and a few patients with dental ...

Polaronic and Electrochemical Signatures in Group IVB (Ti, Zr, Hf) Oxides: Unified SKP–DFT Insights for Tunable Transport in Energy and Electronic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Charge carrier concentration and mobility in TiO2, ZrO2, and HfO2 powder films are experimentally mapped as a function of temperature. The results uncover polaron‐mediated transport regimes and field‐activated conduction, enabling the design of oxide‐based electronic and energy devices with thermally tunable functionality.

The Surgical Dental Anxiety Scale (SDAS)

open access: yesBritish Dental Journal
AbstractDental anxiety is a prevalent issue in society and national surveys show it to be rising. As a result, strain on sedation services continues to grow. To accommodate this, there is a need to streamline services to ensure that patients who have a clinical need for sedation are able to receive it.The Index of Sedation Need (IOSN) has been ...
