Finite Element Analysis of Stress in Dental Bridge with Implant

Journal of Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering, 2020
The objective of this research was to investigate dental bridges with and without implants. Threedimensional (3D) mandible models were reconstructed by computer tomography (CT) to simulate biting behaviors. The dental implant is an important factor in dental bridge applications.

Comparison of stress analysis for dental crown (FPD) for various materials

Materials Today: Proceedings, 2021
Abstract Dental crown is used to defend uncertain teeth (from decaying) or restoring a damaged tooth or severely worn tooth. Crown is the portion of the teeth above the gum line. The reason for this examination is to gauge the failure risk and stress analysis of the crown for different ceramic materials such as zirconia and yttrium stabilized ...

Influences of Stresses on Dental Implant Threads Using Finite-Element Analysis

Journal of Long-Term Effects of Medical Implants, 2019
The objective of this finite-element analysis (FEA) study is to check the effect of stress on different types of threaded implants. To perform the FEA study of 81 models, the geometry of cancellous bone is imported and corresponding materials are set using FEA software. A common biting force is applied on the implant.

Finite element analysis of dental structures — axisymmetric and plane stress idealizations

Journal of Biomedical Materials Research, 1975
AbstractThe finite element method used to study stress generated in a maxillary second premolar as a result of occlusal forces. This mathematical technique has been applied extensively in structural engineering and structural mechanics. It is well suited to the analysis of stress in teeth and dental restorations because it can closely simulate the ...

Stress Distribution of Dental Posts by Finite Element Analysis

2011
The purpose of this study was to investigate stress distribution in three types of dental posts for understanding the biomechanical effects of various posts by three-dimensional finite elements analysis (FEA). The models of the FEA were consisted of three types of posts, Co-Cr crown, premolar without crown and regional bon of mandibular resection ...

Stress and deformation analysis induced by dental implants in mandible.

Revista medico-chirurgicala a Societatii de Medici si Naturalisti din Iasi, 2009
The paper presents the human implanted mandible behavior under the action of muscle forces creating different stress distributions depending on the kind of motion performed. The mandible is treated in accordance to the classical mechanics methods. The model is based on the mandible actual shape, taking into account the correct geometric parameters.

Computational analysis of stress distribution in dental crowns: A review

Materials Research Proceedings
Abstract. Stress analysis encompasses three primary methodologies: analytical, experimental, and computational. While analytical methods offer theoretical insights, they often fall short in addressing complex problems. Experimental approaches, though thorough, demand substantial time and resources.

Stress analysis around dental implant in human mandible

2021
ÖZET Ağızdaki kayıp dişlere bağlı olarak oluşan fonksiyon ve estetik kaybın yeniden kazanılması amacıyla bu dişlerin yerine kullanılan yapay malzemelere dental implant lar denilmektedir. Dental implant ların çeneye yerleştirilmesi amacıyla çene üzerinde uygun boyutlarda delikler açılmakta ve dolayısıyla çenede doku kayıpları meydana gelmektedir.
