Stress analysis in dental prosthesis
Computational Materials Science, 2010Dental implant has been used and studied for the replacement of missing teeth for many years. It has been well known that the success of dental implant is heavily dependent on initial stability and long-term osseointegration due to optimal stress distribution in the surrounding bones.

Stress analysis of dental implants
Journal of Dental Implants, 2014Natural teeth consist of the crown and the root. Due to periodontal disease or by an injury, a natural root may be damaged, and it may be incapable of supporting the teeth and bear chewing forces. Under these circumstances, the root may be replaced by an implant.

An analysis of stresses in a dental implant system
Journal of Biomechanics, 1981Abstract Successful replacement for missing teeth is one of the most complex problems facing the dental profession. Although many different types of dental implants are now available, their performance in restoring masticatory function is still limited and the subject of much controversy.

Experimental stress analysis of dental restorations
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1967Abstract The general stress distribution in full crown restorations was investigated using a two-dimensional photoelastic stress analysis method. Crowns on tipped molar abutments as well as on normally aligned molars were analyzed. The maximum compressive stresses on the interior of crowns were generally found to be on the reduced cusp surface of the

Stress Analysis of Porous Rooted Dental Implants
Journal of Dental Research, 1976A two-dimensional plane stress finite element analysis of porous rooted dental implants was performed. The results of this analysis were compared to results obtained from mechanical tests performed on actual implanted specimens. The appropriate selection of interface material properties was shown to be highly significant.

Homogenized stress analysis in a dental implant system
Journal of Medical Engineering & Technology, 1997In this study, the stress state occurring at each trabecular due to three different types of dental implant is investigated by a homogenization technique, in which the trabecular structure is assumed to be composed of repeating hexagonal units. This technique helps make a proper material model of bone and to analyse such a non-homogeneous structure at ...
