Stress Distribution of Dental Posts by Finite Element Analysis

2011
The purpose of this study was to investigate stress distribution in three types of dental posts for understanding the biomechanical effects of various posts by three-dimensional finite elements analysis (FEA). The models of the FEA were consisted of three types of posts, Co-Cr crown, premolar without crown and regional bon of mandibular resection ...

Stress analysis on the bone around five different dental implants

2001 Conference Proceedings of the 23rd Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2005
Implantology has widespread application for dental cases these days. Although the life of this practice is short, there has been considerable progress in this field and many research laboratories and production sites have been developed in this regard.

Experimental and Numeric Stress Analysis of Titanium and Zirconia One-Piece Dental Implants

The International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants, 2013
To compare the stress in bone around zirconia and titanium implants under loading.A one-piece zirconia implant and a replica of the same implant made of commercially pure titanium were embedded in two self-curing acrylic resin blocks. To measure strain, a strain gauge was applied on the surface of the two samples.

Experimental stress analysis of dental restorations. Part IX. Two-dimensional photoelastic stress analysis of porcelain bonded to gold crowns

The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1971
Abstract A two-dimensional photoelastic model study of porcelain fused to gold restorations was conducted on models that were 20 times normal size, using three plastics having a ratio of the elastic moduli similar to those of the actual materials. Isochromatic and isoclinic patterns were obtained and the principal stresses were separated in critical ...

A Study on HA-Coated Titanium Dental Implants Part I: Stress Analysis of Dental Implant

1992
The stress distributions around four kinds of endosteal implants were calculated by using three dimensional finite element stress analysis. Lower stress concentration in the cresteal bone region and the most uniform stress destribution were observed in the cylindrical implant.
