Clinical significance of preoperative Glasgow prognostic score in patients with colorectal cancer and synchronous peritoneal metastases
Annals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.Preoperative GPS2 is an independent poor prognostic factor in patients with colorectal cancer and synchronous peritoneal metastases, and surgical resection does not improve prognosis in patients with GPS2. Preoperative GPSs may be used as indicators for surgical resection of synchronous peritoneal metastases.Kosuke Fujimoto, Fumikazu Koyama, Hirotoshi Kobayashi, Kenjiro Kotake, Masayasu Kawasaki, Yukihide Kanemitsu, Yusuke Kinugasa, Hideki Ueno, Kotaro Maeda, Takeshi Suto, Michio Itabashi, Kimihiko Funahashi, Heita Ozawa, Shingo Noura, Hideyuki Ishida, Masayuki Ohue, Tomomichi Kiyomatsu, Soichiro Ishihara, Keiji Koda, Hideo Baba, Kenji Kawada, Yojiro Hashiguchi, Takanori Goi, Yuji Toiyama, Naohiro Tomita, Eiji Sunami, Fumihiko Fujita, Jun Watanabe, Kenichi Hakamada, Goro Nakayama, Kenichi Sugihara, Yoichi Ajioka +31 morewiley +1 more sourcePerioperative outcomes of esophagectomy after doublet versus docetaxel‐based triplet neoadjuvant chemotherapy in older patients: A nationwide inpatient database study in Japan
Annals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView. In this nationwide inpatient database study of 5229 patients aged 70–79 years who underwent esophagectomy for cancer after neoadjuvant chemotherapy, overlap propensity score weighting analysis showed that neoadjuvant docetaxel‐based triplet regimen (docetaxel, cisplatin, and 5‐fluorouracil) was not associated with a higher incidence of perioperative ...Yuki Hirano, Takaaki Konishi, Hidehiro Kaneko, Satoru Matsuda, Hirofumi Kawakubo, Yuya Kimura, Hiroki Matsui, Kiyohide Fushimi, Hiroyuki Daiko, Osamu Itano, Hideo Yasunaga, Yuko Kitagawa +11 morewiley +1 more sourceClinical role of intraperitoneal chemotherapy in patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma concomitant with occult peritoneal dissemination: A multicenter retrospective study
Annals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView. The effectiveness of intraperitoneal chemotherapy using paclitaxel (i.p.‐PTX) in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) patients with peritoneal dissemination remains elusive. This study indicated that the i.p.‐PTX therapy may improve survival in selected patients with PDAC, in particular those with occult peritoneal dissemination.Tomohisa Yamamoto, Toshio Shimokawa, Masamichi Hayashi, Masamichi Mizuma, Katsuhisa Hirano, Atsushi Oba, Toshimichi Asano, Hideyo Miyato, Makoto Yoshida, Ippei Matsumoto, Yasunari Kawabata, Katsunori Sakamoto, Fuyuhiko Motoi, Shigeto Ishii, Yuki Homma, Hiromitsu Maehira, Yutaro Matsunaga, Tetsuya Ikemoto, Masafumi Nakamura, Yuko Mataki, Tsuyoshi Notake, Keiichi Akahoshi, Hideki Takami, So Yamaki, Daisuke Hashimoto, Yasutoshi Kimura, Satoshi Hirano, Yosuke Inoue, Tsutomu Fujii, Michiaki Unno, Yasuhiro Kodera, Joji Kitayama, Sohei Satoi, the Study Group of Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma with Peritoneal Dissemination +33 morewiley +1 more sourceSelf-assessed preparedness of final-year dental students and dental interns in Poland: a multi-institutional study. Annals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.Overall survival of patients who underwent surgical resection was significantly better compared to that of patients who underwent chemotherapy without surgical resection. These results highlight the benefit of surgical intervention to survival for patients with isolated para‐aortic lymph node metastasis or with resectable liver metastasis.Akira Ouchi, Koji Komori, Sono Ito, Yusuke Kinugasa, Soichiro Ishihara, Akio Shiomi, Yukihide Kanemitsu, Takeshi Suto, Hiroki Takahashi, Yoichi Ajioka, on behalf of the study group for PALNM projected by JSCCR, Akinobu Furutani, Akira Hirata, Atsushi Ishibe, Eiji Sunami, Heita Ozawa, Hideki Ueno, Hideyuki Ishida, Hiroyuki Egi, Ichiro Takemasa, Jun Watanabe, Junichiro Hiro, Kay Uehara, Kazushige Kawai, Koya Hida, Manabu Shiozawa, Masaaki Ito, Masakatsu Numata, Masanori Hotchi, Masaya Hiyoshi, Masayuki Ohue, Michio Itabashi, Ryo Inada, Shuntaro Nagai, Takaya Kobatake, Takeshi Kato, Tomohiro Yamaguchi, Yasumasa Takii, Yasumitsu Hirano, Yoshihiro Kakeji +39 morewiley +1 more sourceOptimal Extent of Lymph Node Dissection for Non‐Metastatic Colon Cancer by Tumor Location: Evaluation of the Therapeutic Value Index for Each Lymph Node Station
Annals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.Lymph node dissection of the main nodes along the feeding artery has a therapeutic value in early‐stage colon cancers. Meanwhile, the significance of #253 dissection for descending colon cancer requires further discussion. ABSTRACT Aims
To determine the optimal extent of lymph node dissection for non‐metastatic colon cancer by tumor location based on ...Akira Ouchi, Kozo Kataoka, Eiji Shinto, Takashi Akiyoshi, Takefumi Yoshida, Yasuyuki Takamizawa, Yukihide Kanemitsu, Hirotoshi Kobayashi, Yoichi Ajioka, on behalf of the Lymph Nodes Committee of JSCCR +9 morewiley +1 more source
