Dental treatment of the elderly inpatient
Journal of Dentistry, 1980A study of the oral status of 138 patients in two geriatric hospitals was carried out. The results, similar to those of other surveys, disclosed a great deal of neglect, much of which could be corrected by simple dental treatment. Dental care should become a routine health measure for all elderly inpatients as part of their general hospital treatment.
