Sediment Resuspension Under Wind‐Driven Currents and Waves: 1D Numerical Simulations Guided by Direct Observations Along the Dead Sea Shore

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Oceans, Volume 131, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Resuspension of fine‐grained bottom sediment under wind‐driven currents and waves is a key process in shaping nearshore environments. Commonly, resuspension is quantified for predicting the dispersion of contaminants and nutrients affecting water quality by numerical modeling and field measurements. Although a large body of research deals with

A Neolithic rock engraving apparently showing a Great Auk being captured

open access: yesIbis, Volume 168, Issue 1, Page 377-382, January 2026.
We evaluate whether a Neolithic engraved rock image at the Alta archaeological site in Finnmark, Norway – of a bird being held by a person – represents a Great Auk Pinguinus impennis. There are several thousand engraved animal figures at Alta, created between 5000 and 2000 years ago, in various hunting panoramas.

Endodontic Management of Maxillary Central Incisors With Calcified Canal and Immature Apex Using Static Guide and Amniotic Membrane Plug

open access: yesCase Reports in Dentistry, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Traumatic dental injuries can affect the dental hard tissues, pulp, periodontium, alveolar bone, or gingiva, resulting in long‐term complications such as pulp canal obliteration and the cessation of root development. Such complications often defy conventional endodontic approaches.

Elusiveness of revenge and impossibility of tragedy: Shakespeare’s Hamelt and Pirandello’s Enrico IV

open access: yesIlha do Desterro, 2005
The objective dimension of the relationship between Shakespeare and Pirandello, if one means to restrict it to explicit quotations and allusions, is very limited and would seem to make the link somewhat tenuous between the two dramatists so far apart in ...

Reflections on Energy Efficiency Policies in Sustainable Transition: Bedrock, Gamechanger, or More of the Same?

open access: yesEnvironmental Policy and Governance, Volume 35, Issue 6, Page 1028-1046, December 2025.
ABSTRACT In this study, we analyze how energy efficiency actions, policies, and outcomes are tied to wider socio‐economic and political contexts that are important from a sustainable energy transition perspective. In our two‐part study, we first conduct a bibliometric analysis of 206 publications to identify some of the dominant discourses in the ...

Physics‐Aware Probabilistic Modeling of Subsurface Soil Moisture Using Diffusion Processes Across Different Climate Settings

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 20, 28 October 2025.
Abstract We developed a physics‐aware denoising diffusion based probabilistic model for estimating subsurface soil moisture from surface observations. Unlike traditional physical‐based methods that rely on site‐specific soil parameters, our approach leverages a data‐driven framework constrained by smoothness and Fickian diffusion principles to ensure ...
