Dentin Bonding Agents I: Complete Classification—A Review

open access: yes, 2011
Traditional mechanical methods of retaining restorative materials have been replaced to a large extent by tooth conserving adhesive restorative techniques. Bonding techniques allow more conservative tooth preparation.

Extrusion of Heterogeneous Filament‐like Structures: A New Paradigm in Fabricating Soft Mechanical Gradient with Long Span

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
An extrusion‐based technique to engineer a stiffness gradient interphase material that seamlessly bridges soft‐to‐hard interface without strain localization in multimaterial systems is presented. The gradient is obtained by spatial control of the distribution of reinforcing expandable microspheres in polydimethylsiloxane.

When Do Introspection Axioms Matter for Multi-Agent Epistemic Reasoning? [PDF]

open access: yesEPTCS 297, 2019, pp. 121-139, 2019
The early literature on epistemic logic in philosophy focused on reasoning about the knowledge or belief of a single agent, especially on controversies about "introspection axioms" such as the 4 and 5 axioms. By contrast, the later literature on epistemic logic in computer science and game theory has focused on multi-agent epistemic reasoning, with the

Solvent Retention of Contemporary Commercial Dentin Bonding Agents in a Demineralized Dentin Matrix

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Dentistry, 2010
Objectives: Solvents are ingredients in dentin-bonding agents (DBAs) that are essential to obtain efficient adhesion to dentin under wet-technique bonding protocol. However, an excess of solvents can compromise bonding durability.

Determination of Surface Characteristics, Solubility and Ion Release of a Calcium Silicate Root Canal Sealer

open access: yesAustralian Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigated the solubility of AH Plus Bioceramic sealer (AHPB), the ion release, and the modification of surface characteristics compared to AH Plus (AHP). Solubility was examined according to ISO guidelines in deionised water and phosphate buffer saline (PBS) for 3 months.

Comparison of Shear Bond Strength of Composite to Primary and Permanent Enamel Using Dentin bonding and Enamel Bonding Agents

open access: yesJournal of Islamic Dental Association of Iran, 2014
Background and Aim : Dentin bonding agents are gradually replacing enamel bonding agents in the clinical setting. Considering the different properties of these two materials, their bonding strength to enamel may be different.   The aim of this study was

Evaluation of 3D‐Printed Models in Dentoalveolar Trauma Simulation: A Randomized Trial in Undergraduate Dental Training

open access: yesDental Traumatology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Aim This study evaluated the impact of simulation training using 3D‐printed models on anxiety, stress, self‐confidence, and knowledge among dental students managing dentoalveolar trauma. Material and Methods This prospective, randomized controlled trial was conducted with fourth‐year dental students, who were assigned to two groups.

3D‐Printed Multi‐Coloured Teeth Comprising Material Gradients for Dental Education—A Pilot Study

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Dental Education, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To develop realistic training teeth composed of multi‐material colours and gradients and evaluate them in comparison with the standard model and extracted teeth with a group of students. Material and Method Three different teeth were virtually designed by use of multiple STL‐compartments and additively manufactured with different ...

Effect of adhesive system and application strategy on reduction of dentin permeability

open access: yesBrazilian Oral Research, 2012
This study evaluated the effect of adhesive systems and application strategies on dentin hydraulic conductance (HC). The buccal enamel was removed from bovine incisors to simulate laminate cavity preparations.
