Human dental pulp stem cell response to a novel photoinitiator for resin‐based dental materials
Abstract This study aimed to assess the cytotoxicity of a novel polymerization initiator, tert‐butyl (tert‐butyldimethylsilyl) glyoxylate (DKSi), and its effect on cytokine release by human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs), compared with camphorquinone (CQ) and diphenyl(2,4,6‐trimethylbenzoyl)phosphine oxide (TPO).

Using grape seed extract to reduce erosive potential of drinks
Abstract The aim of this study was to verify whether supplementation of grape seed extract (GSE) to different erosive beverages reduces their erosive potential on dentine in vitro. One‐hundred dentine specimens were randomly assigned to 5 groups (n = 20/group): control‐deionized water, 1%‐citric acid, Red Bull, Coca‐Cola, and Powerade.

Evaluation of the Shear Bond Strength of Composite Resin to Wet and Dry Enamel Using Dentin Bonding Agents Containing Various Solvents [PDF]
Introduction: Bonding of composite resin to dentin mandates a wet substrate whereas, enamel should be dry. This may not be easily achievable in intracoronal preparations where enamel and dentin are closely placed to each other.

Apicectomy and retrograde endodontic treatment for an unerupted mandibular cheek tooth
Summary Apicectomy combined with retrograde endodontic therapy is well documented in human and small animal dentistry, but its application in horses remains limited. This report describes the technique in a 2‐year‐old Warmblood mare with an unerupted, infected mandibular cheek tooth (307) that could not be accessed orally. Clinical examination revealed

Evaluation of Four Different Adhesive Systems' Bonding Strength Between Superficial and Deep Dentin [PDF]
The success of adhesive restorations largely depends on the optimal bond strength between the tooth structure and the restorative material. The aim of this study was to evaluate the shear bond strength (SBS) of four different adhesives applied to ...
