Occlusal Relief and Dental Wear Predict Pulp Chamber Volume in Captive Baboons

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Biological Anthropology, Volume 191, Issue 3, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Primates have adaptations that mitigate the functional consequences of dental wear. One such adaptation is dentin deposition within the pulp chamber, which may extend tooth functionality. Because this deposition can reflect age‐related secondary dentin and stimulus‐driven tertiary dentin, it remains unclear whether the resulting pulp volume ...

A Histopathological Study of Direct Pulp Capping with Adhesive Resins

open access: yesFrontiers in Dentistry, 2004
Statement of Problem: Recently, it has been proposed that different adhesive materials can be used for direct pulp capping. Previous studies have demonstrated that multi steps dentin adhesives could form reparative dentin similar to calcium hydroxide (CH)

Clinical outcomes of a novel flowable calcium silicate cement in equine endodontic treatment

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, Volume 58, Issue 6, Page 1602-1611, November 2026.
Abstract Background Orthograde endodontic treatment of equine cheek teeth is performed infrequently with variable success rates of obturation with calcium hydroxide paste (CHP). A novel flowable calcium silicate cement (eCSC) formulated for use as an obturation material in equine teeth has demonstrated acceptable canal filling volumes and evidence of ...

Molecular Recognition of Dental Resin Monomers by Salivary Proteins: Integrated Docking, DFT, Molecular Dynamics, and MM/PBSA Analysis

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 11, November 2026.
An integrated computational framework reveals distinct interaction patterns of dental resin monomers with key salivary proteins. Bis‐GMA shows the most favorable predicted binding profile, HEMA displays weaker and more variable interactions, and TEGDMA exhibits intermediate behavior.

Short‐Term Outcomes of Full Pulpotomy Compared With Root Canal Treatment for Irreversible Pulpitis: The PROVE Study

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, Volume 59, Issue 11, Page 2335-2345, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives To assimilate data from individual randomised trials and perform a pooled analysis of short‐term outcomes of pulpotomy compared with root canal treatment (RCT) for teeth with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis (SIRP). Methods Randomised trials were conducted in eight countries using a standardised clinical protocol and outcome ...
