Impact of Mask Type on Pharyngeal Opening Pressures During Drug‐Induced Sleep Endoscopy
Assessment of the impact of mask type on pharyngeal opening pressures during drug‐induced sleep endoscopy (DISE) is currently lacking. Our study demonstrates that pharyngeal opening pressures at the velum, oropharynx, and tongue base are significantly reduced using nasal vs. full‐face mask techniques.

Abstract Understanding the spatial ecology of migratory species is uniquely challenging using conventional approaches. In fisheries such as for Pacific salmon, genetic stock identification (GSI) and isotope‐based methods have emerged as strategies for reconstructing spatial ecology but are limited by the spatial resolution of genetic differentiation ...

This study presents the development of a 3D printable, bioactive hydrogel scaffold by incorporating methylcellulose (MC) and hydroxyapatite (HA) into an alginate/gelatin (AlGel) system. The scaffolds are characterized in terms of their rheological behavior, structural stability, degradation behavior, mechanical performance, cytocompatibility, and ...

Abstract Background Very long chain fatty acids (VLCFAs) are an integral component of myelin and the epidermal water barrier. Variants in genes encoding enzymes responsible for catalyzing the first and rate limiting step in the production of VLCFAs, elongation of VLCFAs (ELOVLs), underlie a novel group of metabolic disorders. Objectives The goal was to
