The Dentition of the Hawaiians

The author investigated the dentition of the Hawaiians, and made comparisons with the Pashtuns in Afghanistan and the Japanese. The materials for this study were some 300 pre-European skeletons in the Bishop Museum, Honolulu. The materials of the Pashtuns and the Japanese were the plaster casts. Smart Denture with Embedded Thin‐Film Temperature Sensors Patterned by Femtosecond Laser Pulse for Elderly Healthcare

We demonstrate the direct‐laser patterning of a gold thin film on polymethyl methacrylate to fabricate a temperature sensor for dentures. The temperature sensor‐embedded smart dentures are evaluated in an oral environment, enabling in‐situ monitoring for elderly healthcare.
