Effect of orthodontics combined with fibre-reinforced composite resin-bonded fixed partial denture on anterior dentition defects with minimal vertical intermaxillary space

Technology and Health Care
BACKGROUND: Prosthodontics are often performed to treat patients with malocclusion and dentition defects. However, single prosthodontics cannot properly correct the disharmony of teeth, dental arch and other parts affected by malocclusion, and some ...

Clinical Assessment of Distal Versus Mesial Single-Retainer Resin Bonded Fixed Partial Denture for Replacement of an Upper Lateral Incisor: Randomized Clinical Trial.

International Journal of Prosthodontics
PURPOSE This clinical study aimed to compare one-year survival rates of zirconia single-retainer resin-bonded fixed partial denture (RBFPD) on upper canines versus upper central incisors. MATERIALS AND METHODS Fifty-four multilayered, ultra-translucent

Clinical performance of resin-bonded fixed partial dentures

The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1996
Resin-bonded fixed partial dentures (RBFPDs) initially recorded poor survival rates because of indefinite tooth preparations and arbitrary selection of composite resin cements. In this study, 46 RBFPDs were inserted for a longitudinal study up to 45 months. The influence of location--anterior/posterior, or maxilla/mandible--and the inclusion of pontics

Prosthetic Rehabilitation of a Young Patient with Alveolar Ridge Deficiency: From a Minimally Invasive Resin-Bonded Bridge to an Ultra-Translucent Zirconia Fixed Partial Denture

Middle East Research Journal of Dentistry
Background: Restoration of missing mandibular incisors in young patients is often complicated by limited alveolar bone volume and incomplete skeletal maturation.

Clinical Evaluation of Zirconia Occlusal Veneer Fixed Partial Denture: A New Design for Posterior Resin-Bonded Fixed Partial Dentures (RBFPDs).

Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry
PURPOSE To evaluate the clinical performance of zirconia occlusal veneer fixed partial dentures (FPDs). MATERIALS AND METHODS Forty occlusal veneer FPDs (n = 10) replacing first molars were fabricated using two preparation designs (D1 and D2) and two ...

A four-year clinical evaluation of resin-bonded fixed partial dentures

The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1988
A total of 58 resin-bonded fixed partial dentures seated in 47 patients were examined for periods of 2 to 51 months. During the evaluation period, 10 prostheses (17.2%) became dislodged. Six restorations (10.3%) were successfully rebonded and four (6.9%) were remade. Six anterior and four posterior restorations were dislodged.

Resin-bonded fixed partial dentures: Ten-year follow-up

The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 2006
The aim of the study was to evaluate the survival rate of resin-bonded fixed partial dentures delivered between 1993 and 2003 in the Department of Prosthodontics of the University of Turin and in several private practices. The analysis took into consideration the following variables: preparations, metallic alloys, metal preparation and conditioning of ...

Resin-Bonded Fixed Partial Dentures: A Review of Three Decades of Progress

The Journal of the American Dental Association, 1996
The resin-bonded fixed partial denture has undergone significant changes in design, materials and tooth preparation since its development in 1973. The selection of resin cement and micromechanical retention have closely paralleled alloy-resin-bonding research.

Fracture characteristics of anterior resin-bonded zirconia-fixed partial dentures

Clinical Oral Investigations, 2009
Resin-bonded fixed partial dentures (RBFPD) are used as a minimal invasive, tooth-preventing alternative for replacing anterior teeth. Zirconia cantilever restorations were supposed to show sufficient strength for a clinical application. The aim of this investigation was to determine the fracture characteristics of cantilever and two-retainer RBFPD ...
