Tongue pressure recordings during speech using complete denture [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials Science and Engineering C 28 (2008) 835-841, 2008
This paper describes an original experimental procedure to measure mechanical interactions between tongue and teeth during speech production. Using edentulous people as subjects, pressure transducers are inserted in their complete denture duplicate. Physiology is respected during sound and pressure recording as with standard complete denture.

A three-dimensional finite element analysis of mechanical function for 4 removable partial denture designs with 3 framework materials: CoCr, Ti-6Al-4V alloy and PEEK

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2019
Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a new material used for the frameworks of removable partial dentures (RPD). The questions whether the PEEK framework has similar stress distribution on oral tissue and displacement under masticatory forces as titanium alloy

A Fast Heuristic Algorithm for Redundancy Removal [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Redundancy identification is an important step of the design flow that typically follows logic synthesis and optimization. In addition to reducing circuit area, power consumption, and delay, redundancy removal also improves testability. All commercially available synthesis tools include a redundancy removal engine which is often run multiple times on ...

Change in Dental Visits Among Eligible Children Under the Impact of the Child Dental Benefits Schedule in Australia

open access: yesCommunity Dentistry and Oral Epidemiology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives In Australia, although there have been some improvements, child oral health continues to be a major public health issue. The Australian Government introduced the means‐tested Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) in 2014 to support access to dental services for children and adolescents aged 0–17 years from low‐income families.
