Removable partial denture alloys processed by laser-sintering technique.
Journal of Biomedical Materials Research. Part B - Applied biomaterials, 2018Removable partial dentures (RPDs) are traditionally made using a casting technique. New additive manufacturing processes based on laser sintering has been developed for quick fabrication of RPDs metal frameworks at low cost.

Designing swinglock partial dentures
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1981Abstract The basic design principles of swinglock removable partial dentures including (1) even stress distribution, (2) control of rotational forces, (3) absence of D-E hinges, (4) rests, and (5) placement of the labial retentive fingers have been discussed. Special instructions to swinglock removable partial denture patients and recommendations for

Partial dentures and plaque accumulation
Journal of Dentistry, 1978Abstract Damage to the oral tissues arises when the patients fail to adopt adequate oral hygiene measures. Partial dentures have been shown to increase the plaque formation and this is worse when teeth and gingivae are covered, as in lingual plate dentures.

Unilateral removable partial dentures
British Dental Journal, 2017Removable partial dentures (RPDs) are widely used to replace missing teeth in order to restore both function and aesthetics for the partially dentate patient. Conventional RPD design is frequently bilateral and consists of a major connector that bridges both sides of the arch. Some patients cannot and will not tolerate such an extensive appliance.

A temporary fixed partial denture
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1970Abstract A technique for constructing temporary acrylic resin fixed partial dentures makes it possible to replace a missing tooth in one appointment. This technique avoids the problems of the patient being toothless while a fixed restoration is made.

Soldering of removable partial dentures
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1983Both high- and low-heat removable partial denture alloys were soldered with combinations of different solders and heat sources. The soldered specimens were subjected to tensile strength testing, and a ranking of joint strength was developed. Joint strengths that were 85% as strong as the as-cast metal were created in both alloy types when 0.800 fine ...
