Failure to process chromatin on apoptotic microparticles in the absence of deoxyribonuclease 1 like 3 drives the development of systemic lupus erythematosus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Systemic lupus erythematosus is an autoinflammatory disorder driven by the development of autoantibodies to self-nucleic acids, in particular to DNA and to chromatin.

On the Residue Codes of Extremal Type II Z4-Codes of Lengths 32 and 40 [PDF]

open access: yesDiscrete Math. 311 (2011), 2148-2157, 2011
In this paper, we determine the dimensions of the residue codes of extremal Type II Z4-codes for lengths 32 and 40. We demonstrate that every binary doubly even self-dual code of length 32 can be realized as the residue code of some extremal Type II Z4-code.

Blockade of activin type II receptors with a dual anti-ActRIIA/IIB antibody is critical to promote maximal skeletal muscle hypertrophy

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, 2017
Significance We recently reported that activin type II receptors (ActRIIs) blockade using bimagrumab could positively impact muscle wasting in mice and humans.

Deoxyribonuclease probing on sea urchin embryo chromatin [PDF]

open access: yes, 1983
Bibliography: pages 118-143.The role that the sea urchin, Parechinus angulosus, embryo and sperm histone variants play in chromatin structure has been investigated. Chromatin structure has been determined at different levels of resolution in sperm and in

Construction of extremal Type II $\mathbb{Z}_{8}$-codes via doubling method [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Extremal Type II $\mathbb{Z}_{8}$-codes are a class of self-dual $\mathbb{Z}_{8}$-codes with Euclidean weights divisible by $16$ and the largest possible minimum Euclidean weight for a given length. We introduce a doubling method for constructing a Type II $\mathbb{Z}_{2k}$-code of length $n$ from a known Type II $\mathbb{Z}_{2k}$-code of length $n ...

Cleavage of a model DNA replication fork by a methyl-specific endonuclease [PDF]

open access: yes
Epigenetic DNA methylation is involved in many biological processes. An epigenetic status can be altered by gain or loss of a DNA methyltransferase gene or its activity. Repair of DNA damage can also remove DNA methylation.

Purification & Characterization of a Deoxyribonuclease from Etiolated Soybean [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
A deoxyribonuclease (DNase) has been isolated from a purified preparation of soybean nuclei. The procedure, involving solubilization of proteins using ammonium sulfate, Sephadex G-75, DEAE-Cellulose and CMSephadex chromatography and non-denaturing ...
