Rainfall distribution pattern and crop planning at Pusa in Bihar

open access: yesJournal of Agrometeorology, 2008
Daily rainfall data of fifty two years (1952-2004) have been analyzed for establishing the long term averages of weekly, monthly, seasonal and annual rainfall and its variability.

InSAR Monitoring of Landslide Activity in Dominica

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
Dominica is a geologically young, volcanic island in the eastern Caribbean. Due to its rugged terrain, substantial rainfall, and distinct soil characteristics, it is highly vulnerable to landslides.

Rainfall-dependent influence of snowfall on species loss

open access: yesEnvironmental Research Letters, 2018
The response of plant diversity to increased snowfall, i.e., precipitation that falls in a solid state rather than a liquid state, is unclear. We investigated the potential effects of 12 year snowfall augmentation on species richness using coordinated distributed experiments, including ten sites across a rainfall gradient of 211–354 mm and spanning 440

Analysis of Water Availability in Tilong Reservoir, East Nusa Tenggara Due to Climate Change

open access: yesJurnal Teknik Pengairan
This study aims to determine the availability of Tilong Reservoir inflow related to climate change. Water availability can be seen from the high inflow into the reservoir, obtained using the Mock model to simulate the inflow.

Technical feasibility analysis of reservoir on agricultural area

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
The availability of raw water is a major requirement to increase agricultural production, especially rice, as well as for domestic purposes for the community. One source of water is rivers used by communities to fill daily needs for both agricultural and

Prediction of annual rainfall pattern using Hidden Markov Model (HMM) in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria

open access: yesJournal of Applied Sciences and Environmental Management, 2016
A Hidden Markov Model (HMM) is a double stochastic process in which one of the stochastic processes is an underlying Markov chain, the other stochastic process is an observable stochastic process.

Grassland responses to increased rainfall depend on the timescale of forcing [PDF]

open access: yesGlobal Change Biology, 2016
AbstractForecasting impacts of future climate change is an important challenge to biologists, both for understanding the consequences of different emissions trajectories and for developing adaptation measures that will minimize biodiversity loss. Existing variation provides a window into the effects of climate on species and ecosystems, but in many ...

Regulated Ion‐Diffusion Hydrogels for Subtle and Multimodal Temperature‐Strain Sensing in Wound Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A soft, dual‐channel hydrogel patch enables simultaneous detection of wound temperature and strain by integrating ion‐diffusion‐mediated thermoelectric and resistive sensing. The conformal design maintains stable performance during motion, capturing subtle inflammatory and mechanical changes for continuous wound monitoring.
