We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.

Pre-Trained Bidirectional Temporal Representation for Crowd Flows Prediction in Regular Region
Deep learning-based methods for predicting spatial-temporal data such as crowd flows need to consider both spatial dependency and temporal dependency. Previous research mainly focused on modeling spatial dependency, whereas studies on temporal dependency

This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

Self-verified extension of affine arithmetic to arbitrary order
Affine Arithmetic (AA) is a self-verifying computational approach that keeps track of first-order correlation between uncertainties in the data and intermediate and final results. In this paper we propose a higher-order extension satisfying the requirements ...

Sequence Alignment Ensemble With a Single Neural Network for Sequence Labeling
Sequence labeling, in which a class or label is assigned to each token in a given input order, is a fundamental task in natural language processing. Many advanced neural network architectures have recently been proposed to solve the sequential labeling ...

A Linear Programming Approach to Sequential Hypothesis Testing
Under some mild Markov assumptions it is shown that the problem of designing optimal sequential tests for two simple hypotheses can be formulated as a linear program.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Feature dependence graph based source code loophole detection method
Given the problem that the existing source code loophole detection methods did not explicitly maintain the semantic information related to the loophole in the source code, which led to the difficulty of feature extraction of loo-phole statements and the ...
