Body donor programs in Australia and New Zealand: Current status and future opportunities

open access: yesAnatomical Sciences Education, Volume 18, Issue 3, Page 301-328, March 2025.
Abstract Body donation is critical to anatomy study in Australia and New Zealand. Annually, more than 10,000 students, anatomists, researchers, and clinicians access tissue donated by local consented donors through university‐based body donation programs. However, little research has been published about their operations.

Serbo-Croat Clitics and Word Grammar [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Serbo-Croat has a complex system of clitics which raise interesting problems for any theory of the interface between syntax and morphology. After summarising the data we review previous analyses (mostly within the generative tradition), all of which are ...

Injuries in deep time: interpreting competitive behaviours in extinct reptiles via palaeopathology

open access: yesBiological Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT For over a century, palaeopathology has been used as a tool for understanding evolution, disease in past communities and populations, and to interpret behaviour of extinct taxa. Physical traumas in particular have frequently been the justification for interpretations about aggressive and even competitive behaviours in extinct taxa.

Solving Constrained Horn Clauses Using Dependence-Disjoint Expansions [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Proceedings in Theoretical Computer Science, 2018
Recursion-free Constrained Horn Clauses (CHCs) are logic-programming problems that can model safety properties of programs with bounded iteration and recursion. In addition, many CHC solvers reduce recursive systems to a series of recursion-free CHC systems that can each be solved efficiently.

The Strategic Role of Waste Inventories in Industrial Symbiosis: A Simulation‐Based Perspective on Performance and Resilience of Industrial Symbiosis Networks

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Ensuring the resilience of industrial symbiosis networks (ISNs) has emerged as a key concern in the literature. However, existing studies focus on network‐level strategies, neglecting the potential benefits derived from strengthening the links between symbiotic partners.

Extracting Emotion Causes Using Learning to Rank Methods From an Information Retrieval Perspective

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Emotion cause extraction is a challenging task for the fine-grained emotion analysis. Even though a few studies have addressed the task using clause-level classification methods, most of them have partly ignored emotion-level context information.

A Processing Model for Free Word Order Languages [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Like many verb-final languages, Germn displays considerable word-order freedom: there is no syntactic constraint on the ordering of the nominal arguments of a verb, as long as the verb remains in final position. This effect is referred to as ``scrambling'

Schema Independent Relational Learning

open access: yes, 2017
Learning novel concepts and relations from relational databases is an important problem with many applications in database systems and machine learning. Relational learning algorithms learn the definition of a new relation in terms of existing relations ...
