Prospects of Electric Field Control in Perpendicular Magnetic Tunnel Junctions and Emerging 2D Spintronics for Ultralow Energy Memory and Logic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electric control of magnetic tunnel junctions offers a path to drastically reduce the energy requirements of the device. Electric field control of magnetization can be realized in a multitude of ways. These mechanisms can be integrated into existing spintronic devices to further reduce the operational energy.

Deposit Structure and Processes of Sand Deposition from Decelerating Sediment Suspensions

Journal of Sedimentary Research, 2008
Turbidity currents are notoriously difficult to monitor directly, therefore interpretation of their deposits forms the basis for much of our understanding of these flows. The deceleration rate of a flow is a potentially important yet poorly understood control on depositional processes.

High‐resolution X‐ray fluorescence profiling of hybrid event beds: Implications for sediment gravity flow behaviour and deposit structure

Sedimentology, 2020
Hybrid event beds form when turbidity currents that transport or locally acquire significant quantities of mud decelerate. The mud dampens turbulence driving flow transformations, allowing both mud and sand to settle into dense, near‐bed fluid layers and

A novel heterogeneous wax deposit structure triggered by polyethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) wax inhibitors

Journal of Dispersion Science and Technology, 2020
Polyethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) has been widely investigated and employed as polymeric wax inhibitor (PWI). In this paper, the wax deposition characteristics of synthetic oils with different concentrations of EVA PWI were investigated.
