The ultrahard teeth of mollusks that feed on rocky substrates contain a wear‐resistant coating on their surfaces consisting of densely packed mesocrystalline magnetic nanoparticles within an organic matrix. These coatings display significant hardness and toughness through their highly controlled mesocrystalline architectures.

Experimental Observation of a Calcium Silicon Double Carbonate
High‐pressure and ‐temperature reactions between Ca5(Si2O7)(CO3)2 tilleyite and CO2 carbon dioxide yield the first experimental evidence of the double carbonate Ca2Si(CO3)4 and a new Ca2(C4O10) phase containing tetrahedral [CO4] units. These findings reveal unexpected carbonate chemistry and highlight pathways for carbon incorporation under mantle ...

Lowland river responses to intraplate tectonism and climate forcing quantified with luminescence and cosmogenic 10Be [PDF]
Intraplate tectonism has produced large-scale folding that steers regional drainage systems, such as the 1600 km-long Cooper Ck, en route to Australia’s continental depocentre at Lake Eyre.

Block Copolymers: Emerging Building Blocks for Additive Manufacturing
This review addresses how block copolymer (BCP) physics and rheology have led to the widespread use of BCPs in advanced additive manufacturing techniques, with particular emphasis on the untapped potential of these nanostructured materials toward achieving multi‐scale architected materials with unique, programmable material properties.

CAMELS-Chem: augmenting CAMELS (Catchment Attributes and Meteorology for Large-sample Studies) with atmospheric and stream water chemistry data [PDF]
Large sample datasets are transforming the catchment sciences, but there are few off-the-shelf stream water chemistry datasets with complementary atmospheric deposition, streamflow, meteorology, and catchment physiographic attributes. The existing CAMELS

Fluorene‐functionalized spiro‐phenothiazine (PTZ‐Fl) exhibits strong Li+ affinity and thermal stability, enabling a PCE of 25.75% in small‐area cells and 22.07% in 25 cm2 modules. Under ISOS‐L3 conditions, PTZ‐Flbased devices retain over 80% efficiency after 1000 hours, demonstrating superior stability and scalability compared to spiro‐OMeTAD for next ...

Modeling Crack Patterns by Modified STIT Tessellations
Random planar tessellations are presented which are generated by subsequent division of their polygonal cells. The purpose is to develop parametric models for crack patterns appearing at length scales which can change by orders of magnitude in areas such

The middle Waikato Basin and hills [PDF]
The middle Waikato (or Hamilton) Basin is a roughly oval-shaped depression more than 80 km north to south and more than 40 km wide. The basin, except in the south, is almost completely surrounded by ranges up to 300 m high, broken by only a few gaps.
