Patterns of acid deposition to a Danish spruce forest
Water, Air, and Soil Pollution, 1986Bulk precipitation and bulk throughfall was collected during the period September to November 1984 in a Danish spruce forest. Samples were analyzed for all major anions and cations as well as strong and total acidity. The acid load to the forest ecosystem was estimated adding the throughfall fluxes of protons (79 eq ha-1 mo-1), ammonium (99 eq ha-1 mo ...

Dendritic and Fractal Patterns in Electrolytic Metal Deposits
Physical Review Letters, 1986Pattern formation in the electrodeposition of Zn from a thin layer of ZnS${\mathrm{O}}_{4}$ solution was studied as a function of electrolyte concentration and applied voltage. We found several qualitatively different growth forms in this system.

Pattern formation in electrochemical deposition
Chemometrics and Intelligent Laboratory Systems, 1992Abstract Melrose, J.R., 1992. Pattern formation in electrochemical deposition. Chemometrics and Intelligent Laboratory Systems , 15:231–240. Recent discoveries in the understanding of pattern formation have prompted a new group of physicists and chemists to develop techniques of electrochemical deposition within thin layers of electrolyte. Although

Pattern deposition on an ultrasonic actuator
Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2016In recent years, one has observed an increasing interest in the pattern deposition of colloidal particles from an evaporating carrier liquid, a process associated with the coffee ring effect. In particular, various companies employ pattern deposition for the fabrication of medium resolution conducting circuits for various applications from touch ...

Indications for changing deposition patterns in central Europe
Environmental Pollution, 1992The German Federal Environmental Agency (Umweltbundesamt) currently runs a network of 17 air pollution monitoring stations in rural areas within the Federal Republic of Germany. Since 1982, daily bulk precipitation samples have been collected and analysed at five of these stations.

The effect of feeding patterns on fat deposition in mice
Metabolism, 1966Abstract Tube feeding of mice twice daily with an identical food intake both in quantity and quality with control animals results in increased rate of weight gain. This gain can be almost totally accounted for by the increase in carcass fat. Cumulative carbon balances showed greater retention of carbon in the tube-fed group.

Deposition of colloid particles at heterogeneous and patterned surfaces
Advances in Colloid and Interface Science, 2009Theoretical and experimental results pertinent to irreversible adsorption (deposition) of particles at heterogeneous and patterned surfaces were reviewed. Three main deposition regimes are distinguished: (i) the quasi continuous surface regime, (ii) the random site surface (RSS) regime and (iii) the patterned surface regime.

The pattern of amyloid deposition in the lung.
The Malaysian journal of pathology, 2000A review of routine histopathological samples and autopsies examined at the Department of Pathology, University of Malaya revealed 15 cases of amyloidosis of the lung. Two were localized depositions limited to the lung while in the remainder, lung involvement was part of the picture of systemic amyloidosis. Both cases of localized amyloidosis presented
